After a dynamic two months, for the sake of dancing in the street has closed. This group exhibition, co-presented with OXY Arts and conceived alongside Yasmine Nasser Diaz, celebrated the interconnectedness of feminist and queer resistance.
Both the work in the exhibition and the programs that occurred during its time on view were thought-provoking, moving, and liberatory. In the exhibition itself, visitors could peruse the Reading Nook, a cushioned area with books compiled by organizers, partners, and artists. Blending reportage, poetry, and more, the texts featured in the nook were a way to contextualize the work on view, creating powerful energy that we know will continue even beyond the particular time and place of this show.
As such, LAND is excited to share the reading list below, to inform you and inspire you, as this ever important work continues.
