UPDATE:

You know you're in Los Angeles when movie stars can preempt your whole event! Due to unforeseen filming at Cicada Club this Thursday, LAND's Moveable Feast has been moved to Thursday, June 28 at The Dresden Restaurant at 7pm. It promises to be a great evening filled with good company, good food, and of course, the legendary Dresden entertainers, Marty and Elayne. For your inconvenience, the updated ticket cost is $175. We apologize profusely and hope that you can still join us – we so look forward to welcoming you there.

YOU ARE INVITED TO

Moveable Feasts: Jonah Freeman and Justin Lowe
Thursday, June 28, 2012, 7pm

The Dresden
1760 North Vermont Ave.
Hollywood, CA 90027

LAND's Director and Curator, Shamim M. Momin, and LAND's Board of Directors request the pleasure of your attendance at this month's Moveable Feasts: LAND's intimate dinner series. As an extension of LAND programming, Moveable Feasts offer invitees the opportunity to partake in specially selected menus from the city's top chefs and restaurants with invited artists and other creatively-minded individuals.

This Moveable Feast will host Los Angeles-based artists Jonah Freeman and Justin Lowe. Freeman and Lowe are multimedia artists whose collaborative work often focuses around a skewed recreation of the familiar as they construct large-scale, site-specific installations that, in their hyper-meticulous reinterpretation of autobiographical or culturally pervasive locations, images, objects, and ideas, humorously ask viewers to consider the incongruities between perception and reality.

The cost for the evening is $175 per person, which includes a three-course dinner with wine, and each guest will receive a special, artist-designed object. Half of the ticket cost goes directly to support LAND's programming and is fully tax-deductible.

Exclusively available for this evening only is the opportunity to become a LAND Collective Member (normally $350) with the purchase of a couple's ticket for $450. For full explanation of benefits, please click here. Additionally, Freeman and Lowe's limited edition artist multiple, Marasa Advertisement ("Unlock Your Potential" Campaign 1974), produced for LAND's exhibition, The Secret (Still) Knows, will be available for purchase throughout the evening for an exclusive opportunity to have the artists sign it on site for $500. Unsigned multiples will also be available for $350.
